The Charity Auction Building Hope and Supporting Our Local Community

About the Charities

Govan Community Project

Entering its 25th year, the Govan Community Project provides essential support to refugees and asylum seekers across Glasgow. They offer advocacy, access to essential services, and social groups that foster community connections. Their services range from community integration to anti-destitution support, making them a crucial lifeline for those settling in Govan and Greater Glasgow.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice

Now located in Bellahouston Park, this hospice delivers free care to over 1,200 new patients, their families, and caregivers each year. Their comprehensive services promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, aiming to help individuals live as well as possible for as long as possible.

Traci from Govan Community Project:

“We have a long-standing reputation for helping those in our community who have the least access to services and face structural barriers to lifting themselves out of extreme poverty. This is an exciting way to spread the word, raise vital funds, and support people across Govan and Greater Glasgow to live socially connected, supported, and healthy lives.”

Clare from The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice:

“Just like our friends at the Govan Community Project, we provide a vital lifeline to those who need it most. We care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones, but we can’t do it without you. Your support in this auction helps us ensure that no one has to face these challenges alone.”
