Govan Community Project | SC042012 | SC390721 |
The Women’s Group meets at our office in Govan on Fridays from 11am-2pm. We connect, catch up, have a cup of tea or coffee, and then usually take part in an activity or workshop. Our activities focus on personal development, physical and mental wellbeing and creativity.
The group is about building connections, strength and resilience amongst our community members. The sessions foster community and solidarity between the women who attend.
We are led by the needs of group members, responding to ideas that the group has for the weekly sessions. We always welcome suggestions for future activities and will try as far as possible to make them happen.
We also have a Whatsapp group for members to keep in touch with one another, support our fellow group members remotely and share information, events and opportunities.
Children are welcome at our sessions, but it is appreciated if you advise the group facilitator in advance that you are bringing them.
If you would like to join us please get in touch with the Women’s Group Coordinator, Aileas, by email at aileas@govancommunityproject.
