Moss Heights Bike Library

Our Bike Library works in the same way as a regular library, but instead of books we are lending bikes. Along with hiring a bike, it is also a hub for bike related activities.

Where?
Our Bike Library is based from a shipping container in the upper car park just above the Moss Heights flats:

Upper Car Park,
40 Moss Heights Avenue,
Glasgow
G52 2TX

We recommend that members live roughly within walking distance of the library, in other words the distance you are prepared to walk to collect your bike.

How it works

Adult bikes, kids bikes, balance bikes, extra kids seats and trailers for pulling kids are available for individuals and families to borrow.

Membership is free also, you just need to show some photographic ID and sign up at the library itself. This is often done when you loan your first bike. Demand is high so there can sometimes be a bit of a wait.

To get on the list email your details (name, phone number, postcode and height in cm) to siraj@govancommunityproject.org.uk

Bike loans

When?
We are open Mondays 10am- 4pm and Tuesdays 2pm-4pm. Loans are by appointment only- but feel free to drop in for a chat and check out what we have to offer. The library lends bikes to members for up to three months at a time for free.

Other services

Bike library coordinator Siraj will be hosting bike rides around the city. He can also offer some minor bike repairs. For more information contact siraj@govancommunityproject.org.uk or WhatsApp 07392 590291.

Also please feel free to come see us or get in touch if you want to help out.
