Homework Club

Govan Community Project runs two after-school homework clubs, one for primary aged children (P1- P7), and another for secondary school pupils (S1-S6).

Both clubs offer school support, and opportunities for socialising, peer support, and educational fun. The newer secondary school group also provides an opportunity for young people to plan for post-high school life, and to discuss issues that are important to them, in a safe and supportive environment.

These groups are only made possible thanks to our amazing team of volunteers who facilitate the group alongside our staff. The young people attending the GCP Homework Club are supported by volunteers to work through their school work, whilst also building up trust and friendships with their peers, and the volunteers.

During the holidays, we also do various activities and trips, including on weekends. In the past, this has included outings such as the Pantomime, trips to professional basketball and ice hockey games.
